About the Event
Fireside is Skiyente's holiday party. We celebrate the season with sharing, caring, and jolly merriment. It is also where our big fundraiser, the Holiday Drawing/Auction takes place. Held at Leasa Lowy's home, check your email for Skiyente news and you'll find the address.
WHAT TO WEAR
- Holiday sweater, holiday pajamas or festive holiday attire
WHAT TO BRING
- Food item to share at the party
- Your own reusable utensils to avoid plasticware
- Optional alcoholic beverage for yourself or for sharing
- A pair of wrapped winter socks for the give exchange
- Food item to donate to the Oregon Food Bank
- Phone (for Venmo payments), cash or checks for the drawing & auction
- You don't need to bring your vaccination card, but you do need to be vaccinated to attend

Heavy appetizers, salads and desserts. Please bring the following table-ready items:
Last name starting with A to L: Heavy appetizer or salad
Last name starting with M to Z: Dessert
ABOUT THE DRINKS
The club will provide non-alcoholic beverages. BYOB for yourself or to share.
ABOUT THE SOCKS
Bring a wrapped pair of winter socks you would want on your feet - ski socks would fit the bill! We will draw numbers and you can opt to open a package or steal one that has already been opened. Consider spending around $25 so all are about equal in value.
ABOUT THE FOOD DRIVE
Bring non-perishable, nutritious food items that have current expiration dates. We will deliver to the Oregon Food Bank.
ABOUT DONATIONS
Members are encouraged to solicit items and/or create theme baskets to donate. Please try to do this ASAP. By December 1, let Barb Pressentin know what you are planning to donate so she can make up a list. Email her at bp2ski@gmail.com
ABOUT THE HOLIDAY DRAWING
Holiday Drawing tickets will be for sale at the event. Price is $5 each, 3 for $10, or 7 for $10. Have cash, check or Venmo ready! It's open to friends, family and co-workers, too, so let them know about it so they can buy tickets. Get a great deal and help our charities at the same time.
ABOUT THE ONLINE AUCTION
The Skiyente website will have a link to the online auction. The auction opens on December 12 and closes at 8:00pm on December 14 -- the Fireside date -- which gives you time to see items in person and bid them up. If you win, take your items home or arrange for pick-up/delivery.
