Skiyente has lots of traditions -- some go back for decades. If you're new to the club, the New Member Info articles will get you caught up fast.
Every year since 1956, Skiyente has crowned a King Winter, an individual who has contributed significantly to the sport of skiing and to the mountain community during their lifetime. Originally this honor was bestowed on a man, but the tradition eventually modernized and we now honor either a man or woman.
The King Winter Coronation and Dance is the can't miss Skiyente event of the year. The festivities start with the Maryanne Cup, then continue with a dinner and end with dancing at Charlie's Mountain View.
